Weekly Faalor Game (July 30th)

We have a brand new cast: "Gnome" (the amnesic shifter), Aven (the stranger than life dark warrior), Bryan (the paladin from Faalor I), Tori (the cute and lovable halfling, also from Faalor I) and Rowan (the nearly evil sorcerer from Faalor II).

The Fog lifts and we find our "heroes" in Bridalveil, a place that MAY have been swept off the map for six months. The place is weeeird. Inquisitors and Illriggers acting like old buddies, elves randomly raiding the town, witches burning at the stake, dogs and cats living in harmony. While the party was on it's way to the Tavern, an elf attacked the guards, after which the elf was tossed into the river and accused of witchcraft. The party finally gathered in the tavern, where they encountered an Inquisitor, who, come to find out was old friends with an Illrigger. The Illrigger was an instructor at the College. Needless to say that caused some tensions!

The party eventually fled Bridalveil and briefly encountered a demoness (who shouted “I’m free” as it fled from the party). After running into a few goblin claiming to be scouts for Yurissa’s army, the party fled toward Hamog. At the Village of Hamog, the party was stopped by a guard who questioned the party. Obviously not terribly impressed with the odd group, it was only until the party’s paladin stepped forward that the guard appeared to be responsive. Unfortunately, the party answered incorrectly the question: “Where is the headquarters of the Church?” The party answered “Gravemist”, which earned the party’s dismissal from Hamog.

Now the party is on the run in the wilderness south and east of Bridalveil and Hamog, trying to make it’s way to Duath.

This first session was full of questions; let’s see if we can get to any of the answers before the party gets killed. Needless to say, it’s going to be particularly tough.

(As a side note, I think this campaign will last for about 3-5 more sessions before I need to take a break from DM’ing.)

That was a fun session, although I'm suprised we survived at the rate I was going in that tavern, hehe.

This will probably be the most dangerous campaign to date, if you can get through this, Faalor can be returned to normal, if not, y'all will end up dead or . . . worse. *grins* I'm curious to see how y'all react to the encounters I have planned for next week.
